PJ Library announces its fall line-up of community engagement events. Events are geared for families with children ages 6 months to age 9 years, and PJ Our Way readers ages 8 ½ to 11 ½
years. Key events for October are Hands on Sukkot in partnership with the Barshop JCC on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 3-5 p.m. It will be a special afternoon to enjoy the outdoors and celebrate Sukkot with stories, crafts, and delicious corn.
Sunday, Oct. 20 from 3-5 p.m. will feature PJ Library San Antonio’s flagship event, PJ Day at the Pumpkin Patch. This year PJ Library friends will be back at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in their newly re-opened patch and playground. Riley Greenberg, Young Adult Division Chair, will provide a special PJ Library reading. Riley is also the Produce Merchandiser and Business Analyst for the Imperfect Produce company. She will share the message that all pumpkins, corn, and other fall vegetables are special and perfect in their own way.
PJ Library San Antonio has been chosen once again as one of the 100 cities in North America to host another cohort of Get Together grants for local PJ families. The Get Together grants provide a stipend to host small gatherings for two or more families to enjoy and make Jewish memories together. Families receive a $100 gift card to pay for their supplies and hosting fees. To learn more about PJ Get Together grants, click on http://pjlibrary.org/gettogether2019 or email Lauren Abraham at AbrahamL@jfsatx.org to set up a time to discuss your get together ideas.
PJ Library wishes all of its grandparents and parents a happy and healthy 5780, the Jewish new year.
