Ariel String Quartet to perform at Temple Beth-El
The San Antonio Chamber Music Society will present the Ariel String Quartet, with Ilya Shterenberg, in concert on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 3:15 p.m. at Temple Beth-El, 211 Belknap Place in San Antonio.
Formed in Israel as teenagers at the Jerusalem Academy Middle School of Music and Dance, the Ariel String Quartet was named recipient of the prestigious Cleveland Quartet Award granted by Chamber Music America in recognition of artistic achievement. Distinguished by its virtuosity, probing musical insight and impassioned and fiery performances, the Ariel String Quartet has garnered critical acclaim worldwide over the span of nearly two decades.
Joining them in concert is Ilya Shterenberg, the San Antonio Symphony’s Principal Clarinet and Principal clarinetist of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra (Columbus, Ohio.) Ilya performs as an orchestral musician, chamber music performer and a soloist.
