Congregation Agudas Achim Celebrates Purim

May 5, 2022

Last month, Congregation Agudas Achim hosted a family Purim celebration at their newly built outdoor Kavy Pavillion. The event was overflowing with people of all ages dressed in creative and colorful costumes to welcome the festive holiday. As the sun was shining and the music was playing, children ran from playing carnival games to getting their faces painted with sparkles and

glitter. Parents happily sat with one another, schmoozing, as their children played and noshed on snacks and dinner. And what Purim carnival would be complete without graggers and hamentashen?

In addition to food, games, and face painting, attendees and children enjoyed craft stations where they could learn about the story and traditions of Purim. To close the event, 8th-grade students read part of the megillah for the entire congregation to hear. After two long years of large gatherings, Agudas was thrilled to be able to bring the community together for a memorable and special event.
