Hadassah Hosts Back to Camp “Fun-Raiser” on August 28
July 22, 2022
The joys of Jewish summer camp are upon us, and we are looking to extend that experience to everyone in the San Antonio & Bexar County area – with an end-of-summer “fun” raiser. On Sunday, August 28 from 5 – 8 pm, the San Antonio Chapter of Hadassah will host a “Back to Camp” experience to raise funds for scholarships for children to attend Young Judaea camps (CYJ Wimberley, Texas & others) and the Young Judaea Israel Year Course.
Hadassah and Young Judaea have a history of working together, and Hadassah continues its involvement with CYJ camps in the US and Young Judaea programs in Israel by providing campership funds.
Join us for a picnic dinner provided by a kosher food truck and a camp-like fun experience to raise money for Young Judaea scholarships. Featuring music, singing, dancing, and arts and crafts. We will also hear from folks who were inspired by their camp or Israel year course experiences. Free parking available, shaded playground, and covered picnic area. Tickets are $36 for adults, $18 for children ages 5 – 17, and ages 5 and under are free; a portion of the event proceeds will be tax-deductible.
The Back to Camp party will be open to families of Hadassah members as well as families of campers who have attended CYJ or the Israel Year Course. To register to attend and make your tax-deductible donation, please visit https://events.hadassah.org/backtocamp.
For more information and to obtain event registration materials, please email Hadassah San Antonio President Marion Bernstein at [email protected]. Come on, join in with us for a woodsy camp spirit when we go “Back to Camp” on the evening of Sunday, August 28.
