JCRC, SAJSS, and NCJW partner to help get out the vote!
February 21, 2022
The Texas Primary election takes place on March 1, 2022. The Jewish Community Relations Council, National Council of Jewish Women-San Antonio, and San Antonio Jewish Senior Services have been working together to help inform voters in our community about the election. They developed a letter to Jewish voters over 65 to encourage them to vote in the primary and to explain how to apply for a vote by mail ballot with easy-to-follow instructions. SAJSS distributed the information at senior living facilities, in their newsletters, and in their challah delivery bags to help older adults navigate the process.
Those who are over 65 years old, have a disability, or will be out of the county during the election can qualify to vote by mail. Each year, those who qualify to vote by mail must apply with their county’s Elections Department in order to receive a ballot in the mail.
