SAJSS Volunteer Spotlight

August 3, 2022

Meet Hannah Margolis, a loyal and long-standing San Antonio Jewish Senior Services (SAJSS) volunteer! Originally from Brooklyn, New York, and a Physical Therapist by trade, Hannah was stationed in San Antonio at the end of her long career with the Air Force. Upon retirement, she decided to stay here.

At that time, Hannah established a gerontology program that later became part of Jewish Family Services, and she recognized the importance of a vibrant Jewish community. While helping others, Hannah realized that volunteering was also important to her own sense of well-being. Hannah says that as she ages, she understands that activities offered to the older adult community are vital. Hannah indicates that volunteering with SAJSS allows her to assist with, and benefit from, these activities.

THANK YOU, Hannah, for all you do, from serving as an active member of the SAJSS EDGE Committee (Engage, Discover, Grow, Explore) to assisting with mailings, to lending a helping hand with SAJSS programs when needed.

Hannah, you help make SAJSS programs possible!

If you, or someone you know, would like to volunteer with SAJSS or get involved with the EDGE Committee, please contact SAJSS Program Manager, Sandra Wadiche, at [email protected] or (210) 616-4811.
