TASA’s Annual Casino Night to Celebrate 9 Successful Years
April 29, 2022
Nine years is a long time. Nine years equates to 90 months or approximately 1,530 days of school instruction. That is a lot of pencils, paper, tissues, laptops, smart projectors, books, Chumashim, Siddurim, holiday celebrations, and more. For the last nine years, TASA-The Jewish Day School of San Antonio has provided a stellar secular and Judaic studies education for more than 200 students.
On Sunday, May 15th, 2022, the school will hold its annual Casino Night Fundraiser to raise the necessary funds for its Flex-Tuition scholarship program. Jessica & Andy Diric will be honored for their contributions to the school over the last years. Jessica serves as the Director of General Studies and teacher for TASA. “Jessica and Andy have done so much for our school, and we are excited to have the opportunity to show them Hakarat Hatov and say thank you,” said Yair Griver, board president of TASA.
An evening of delicious kosher cuisine, open bar, casino games, silent auction, grand raffle, and speakers is planned. Howie Nestel will MC the event. Casino Night will be held at Congregation Rodfei Sholom, 3003 Sholom Drive from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Tickets are $90 per person or $175 per couple. Sponsorship opportunities, online auction, and raffle tickets are available online at www.torahacademysa.com/casino for more information call (210) 607-7261.
TASA invites the community at large and its friends and supporters to attend the event. “We simply cannot do it without the entire community,” said Rabbi Yossi Marrus, Dean of TASA. “It is due to the generosity and vision of so many in our community that TASA has been such a success all these years and we are excited to look forward to a bright future ahead for our tenth year,” he said.
