Temple Beth-El Hunger Project
“And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap all the way to the edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and the stranger. I, the Eternal, am your God.” (Leviticus 23:22)
For over 35 years, our community has come together to benefit the San Antonio Food Bank. The Food Bank, whose area spans 16 counties, has been actively working during this pandemic to ensure that no Texan goes hungry. While normally serving 60,000 individuals a week, due to COVID-19, the need has grown to over 120,000. You can learn more about whom the Food Bank serves at safoodbank.org/about-us/who-we-serve.
Although we are not physically together this year during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, together, we can still make a difference. Please help Temple Beth-El support the San Antonio Food Bank by making a contribution to this fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar raised will advance the San Antonio Food Bank’s great cause! You can donate now or check our progress at https://my.safoodbank.org/templebethel.
Additionally, email Ross Halfant at ross@beth-elsa.org, for other ways, including volunteer opportunities, to help our community.
