Plant a Tree for Tu B’Shevat
During the month of January the Jewish community celebrates Tu B’Shevat – the New Year for Trees. To help nurture Israel, Hadassah observes Tu B’Shevat with the planting of trees in Israel through the Jewish National Fund. Certificates may be obtained at $18 per tree through the local Hadassah San Antonio Chapter by emailing Emily Sparks at [email protected].
Israel & the Jewish People: What’s new?
Hadassah Associate and former Congregation Agudas Achim Rabbi Jeffrey Abraham will bring his popular Israel & the Jewish People class back to San Antonio on Friday, Jan. 22 at 12 noon. Via ZOOM teleconferencing, Rabbi Abraham will share updates on the latest news & happenings in Israel. Topics will include the new presidential administration’s plans for US & Israel relations, such as what new policies may be established, the status of the Abraham Accord, which prior agreements may resume or be deleted, how the indictment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might come into play. The discussion will be based on factual current events, an open conversation of questions & answers.
