Adult Education at Agudas Achim Spring 2021
January 4, 2021
Congregation Agudas Achim will offer a wide variety of adult education programs this spring, includingHebrew classes for different levels, monthly women’s Rosh Chodesh events, a year-long weekly class taught by Rabbi Ben Richards on Rabbinic Personalities, holiday learning with the rabbis, monthly social action learning initiatives, Talmud and more.
In January, Agudas is kicking off a new weekly class called Journey into Judaism. This class will meet virtually on Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. Join Rabbi Sharon Cohen each Wednesday night as she leads participants on a trek through the history, theology, values, and ideals of Judaism with an eye toward understanding not only what, but why we do what we do.
Explore the spiritual meaning behind Judaism’s biggest ideas, the nuts and bolts of daily Jewish practice, and the ancient and contemporary texts and people who have helped to make us who we are.
This class is well suited for those who want to find a deeper connection to Jewish Tradition, those exploring Judaism for the first time, and those who simply enjoy traveling a familiar path and finding new things to enjoy along the way.
