Barshop JCC presents Ballet Conservatory and San Antonio Symphony Free to the Community

October 1, 2021

On Sunday, October 3 at 4 pm, students of the Ballet Conservatory of South Texas will perform excerpts from “The Four Seasons” and “La Boutique Fantastique.”  The Ballet Conservatory is a nonprofit ballet academy and performance company with a mission to ensure that dance education opportunities are accessible to as many interested children as possible regardless of economic background.

The JCC welcomes back the San Antonio Symphony on Tuesday, October 26, at 7 pm, after the cancelation last year due to COVID. Troy Peters will conduct a program of Moscheles, Concertante in F major for Flute, Oboe, and Orchestra, and Schubert, Symphony No. 5 in B-flat Major.  The soloists are Paul Lueders (oboe) and Mark Teplitsky (flute). The Symphony’s Concert (210) Series provides this free performance to the community through underwriting from Frost Bank, and support from the JCC.

Both events are free and open to the public with advanced registration required at jccsanantonio.org, as space is limited.  Masks must be worn at all times during performances, and socially distanced seating will be in effect.  For information on these and other JCC Cultural Arts programs, please contact Elie Allen at [email protected] or call 210-302-6828.
