On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, nearly 250 Israel supporters came together at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus of the San Antonio Jewish Community for Jewish National Fund-USA’s first-ever Breakfast for Israel in San Antonio, chaired by long-time community leader Shirley Katzman.  Attendees learned about the organization’s many incredible game-changing initiatives throughout the Negev and Galilee regions, including community building, heritage site preservation, fire & rescue services, and support for people with disabilities.

Guests were delighted to also hear from keynote speaker Noa Tishby, an actress, writer, and activist who authored Israel, A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth. The co-producer of HBO’s 12-time Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated drama, In Treatment, spoke to the audience about her career in the entertainment industry, her advocacy for Israel, the importance of connecting the next generation to the land of Israel, and why her book helps fill in the information gap by tackling popular misconceptions about the country and stating facts.
