PJ Library & Congregation Agudas Achim Celebrate Tu B’Shevat

PJ Library and Congregation Agudas Achim hosted a Tu B’Shevat Family Funday on Sunday, January 9. Families had a wonderful time on a glorious afternoon in Agudas’s beautiful Kavy Pavilion. The celebration of the birthday of the trees included a hayride, making leaf-rubbing cards for friends, planting parsley, a visit from exotic animals, and of course cake! There was also a farmer’s market sponsored by the Levy, Kantor, and Schnitzer families. Families could fill a bag with the most beautiful (and huge) fruits and vegetables and then make a contribution. All money raised was donated to the San Antonio Food Bank.  Children were able to interact and pet a porcupine, a kinkajou, a wallaby, alpaca, and more! PJ Library Co-Coordinators, Cindy Berman and Amy Sugarman said, “This event created so many amazing memories for all who attended. We look forward to creating more family fun gatherings for our community!”
