SAJSS Thanks its Volunteers

Thank you to those who serve on the San Antonio Jewish Senior Services (SAJSS) E.D.G.E. Committee (Engage, Discover, Grow, Explore) as you make programs happen. During the pandemic, SAJSS has been very fortunate to increase the number of very dedicated volunteers involved in the planning and implementation of programming for older adults affiliated with the San Antonio Jewish community. The E.D.G.E. Committee members, Shelly Berens, Gerry Friedman, Hinda Greenberg, Hannah Margolis, Janice Penner, Rivka Schechter, Marna Schwartz, Evelyn Selig, and Sherie Trakhtenbroit, act as SAJSS ambassadors at community events, help run existing SAJSS programs, create new programs, assist with the monthly newsletter mailing, help prepare other mailings and packages for delivery to older adults around the community, and more.  

In addition to the E.D.G.E. Committee members, SAJSS could not do Shabbat deliveries every week without numerous dedicated Challah Helpers. While there are too many to name each person, Marilyn Collins, Freida Donzis, Roger Ojeda, Janice Penner, Evelyn Selig, Herschel Sheiness, and Mel Waldgeir help with deliveries almost every week. Without all of the Challah Helpers, this program would not be possible.
