YAD Hosts 2nd Annual Hanukkah Happy Hour

January 3, 2023

The Jewish Federation of San Antonio’s Young Adult Division (YAD) celebrated the holiday of Hanukkah with its 2nd annual Hanukkah Happy Hour on December 22nd at Estania del Norte.

Attendees enjoyed a festive evening filled with latkes, sufganiyot, and cocktails, as well as door prizes from local businesses, including Gurinsky’s Fine Jewellers, Max & Louie’s, Fogiel Gift Shop, Weathered Souls Brewing Company, and more. The highlight of the evening was the lighting of a nine-foot hanukkiah, led by YAD Committee members and JFSA President & CEO, Nammie Ichilov.

This event brought together Jewish young adults in the San Antonio community to celebrate the holiday of Hanukkah and connect with one another. “We are so thrilled to have had such a great turnout at our Hanukkah Happy Hour this year,” said Anna Schragin, Development Specialist and YAD Manager. “It’s always a pleasure to bring our young adult community together to celebrate Hanukkah.”

The Jewish Federation of San Antonio is dedicated to strengthening and enriching the Jewish community through philanthropy, education, and community service. The Young Adult Division is committed to engaging and empowering Jewish young adults in San Antonio through social, educational, and philanthropic opportunities.

We look forward to continuing to bring Jewish young adults together to celebrate and connect at future events.
