Why We Give: Trent Boarnet and Mark Ingram

(l to r) Mark Ingram and Trent Boarnet

Trent Boarnet and Mark Ingram have shared a Jewish home together (with many dogs along the way) since 2003. Trent is a third generation member of Temple Beth El and Mark came to Judaism as a Jew by choice in 2003. That same year, they became the first same sex couple to be married in the sanctuary of Temple Beth El. The Jewish community has embraced them and given much to them and for that, they say they are grateful.

Judaism has taught them the importance of tikkun olam and being engaged citizens of the community. Even though they do not have children, they understand the importance of leaving a legacy for future generations of the Jewish community. For that reason, it was not a difficult decision to become a part of the LIFE & LEGACY™ initiative and to leave a legacy gift to Temple Beth El, Jewish Federation of San Antonio, and Jewish Family Service.

You can help ensure Jewish tomorrows for San Antonio Jewish organizations. Contact Beth Keough, Director of LIFE & LEGACY™ at either [email protected] or (210) 302-6813 to learn how you can leave your legacy.
