Looking for a life partner, you search for certain common values. Leaving something behind that will benefit others is one of those commonalities that Stanley and Gayle Alterman share.

Stanley and Gayle have served on numerous San Antonio Jewish organizations’ boards and committees, including Golden Manor, Temple Beth-El, Jewish Family Service, Jewish Federation of San Antonio, the Holocaust Memorial Museum Commission, Barshop Jewish Community Center, and The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Campus of the San Antonio Jewish Community. Their vision is for the San Antonio Jewish community to have a unified voice serving all generations now and into the future. The opportunity to create a LIFE & LEGACY® unrestricted permanent endowment fund at the Jewish Federation of San Antonio, as well as leaving a gift through their charitable foundation to Temple Beth-El, affords them a way to fulfill their vision.

Asked why they give, the Alterman’s said, “We have been so fortunate to reap the benefits of those who thought to leave gifts to Temple Beth-El and Jewish Federation of San Antonio, so we would like to pay it forward for future generations.”

Life expenses do not always allow one the ability to give large financial gifts, which is why the LIFE & LEGACY initiative is such a wonderful opportunity to make an impact on the future of Jewish San Antonio. Your commitment now to an afterlife-time gift will positively affect generations to come without affecting your bank account today.
