Barshop JCC launching new Summer Film Series
June 1, 2021
Coming this summer, the Barshop JCC presents its first-ever San Antonio Jewish Film Festival “Summer Series.” Having started on May 24, and running through September 12, the Summer Series takes the place of previous iterations of the mini-fests that occurred throughout the year.
Unlike the JCC’s prior film events that normally take place over a week or weekend, this experience will be different as each film will have a dedicated viewing window for at least two weeks. With the new format, viewers will find a multitude of options for film lovers of all ages. Additionally, the Barshop JCC is partnering with AJFF365, a partnership program of Shalom Austin, to present two limited series to the festival, bringing episodic content to the Festival for the first time.
The Barshop JCC Jewish Film Festival promotes Jewish values and diversity through the medium of film, striving to entertain, educate, and raise community awareness of Jewish identity, history, and culture.
