Chabad’s Virtual Annual L’Chaim Event with Dr. Edith Eger

Chabad’s Virtual Annual L’Chaim Event will be livestreamed on Wednesday, March 17, at 7:00pm.

Headlining the event is Holocaust survivor and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Edith Eger. Liberated on May 4, 1945, by a young American soldier who noticed her hand moving slightly amongst a number of dead bodies, she eventually married and moved to the United States in 1949. Dr. Eger received her degree in Psychology from the University of Texas, El Paso. She then pursued her doctoral internship at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Dr. Eger is a prolific author and a member of several professional associations. She has a clinical practice in La Jolla, California, and holds a faculty appointment at the University of California, San Diego. She has appeared on CNN and the Oprah Winfrey Show, and her New York Times bestseller ‘The Choice’ and ‘The Gift’ have been featured in Newsweek, InStyle, Forbes, The Daily Mail, and more.

Nancy Gold

Nancy Gold will be honored with the 2021 Dor L’Dor Award.

“Nancy’s warmth, kindness, and genuine caring for people has endeared her to our Chabad community— and to whomever she meets and speaks to on the phone— in the course of her role as the go-to person at Chabad,” said Rabbi Chaim Block, Executive Director of Chabad. “We are delighted to present Nancy with the 2021 Dor L’Dor Award in tribute to her decades of outstanding service to the San Antonio Jewish community,” he said.

Dya Campos

Dya Campos, Director of Governmental and Public Affairs at H-E-B headquarters, will be honored with the 2021 Chabad Distinguished Community Service Award.

Dya is a very caring and compassionate person. She is driven by her commitment to make a difference in the lives of ordinary people and make the world a better place Dya is a dear friend of the Jewish Community and has spearheaded H-E-B’s longstanding support of Chanukah on the River, as well as H-E-B’s recent dedication of the Double Towered Treehouse at the IBC Bank Chabad Children’s Playground. “We are honored to present Dya with the 2021 Distinguished Community Service Award for her philanthropic work in the Jewish and civic communities,” said Rabbi Chaim Block.
