Eli Friedman Bar Mitzvah Announcement

February 1, 2020

Eli Micah Friedman will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on February 20, 2021 at Congregation Agudas Achim. He is the son of Ariel and Lisa Friedman and brother of Noah. Eli is the grandson of Mel and Aviva Friedman of San Antonio and David and Susan Waldman of Bonita Springs, FL.

Eli is an honor student at Eleanor Kolitz Hebrew Language Academy. He is a member of Interact and loves to play tennis and ride bikes. Eli has been playing piano since the age of 4. Despite the limitations imposed by the current pandemic, Eli has demonstrated great resilience. He has fostered friendships, improvised socially and discovered silver linings at every turn. One of the most cherished hidden blessings has been the adoption of a very loving furry friend; a dog named Babka.

Having been in virtual school since March, Eli has had lots of time to spend on some of his favorite activities; coding and reading. He has always loved to read and he can almost always be found with a book (even when he is supposed to be doing something else). His love of books has inspired him to host a book drive for his mitzvah project. Eli hopes that his project will help local children have the same privilege that he has had with regards to reading. All books collected during his book drive will be donated to SAReads
