Learning to COPE in Uncertain Times

The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic downturn have negatively affected many people’s mental health. The community must act now to address the mental health challenges happening during the pandemic in order to avoid long term consequences in the future.

Jewish Family Service San Antonio (JFS) is bringing this issue to light by offering a four-part series of free online talks with mental health professionals and guest speakers called The COPE Series [Challenges and Opportunities in a Pandemic Era].

The first event will take place Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This program will focus on mental health challenges that children are facing during the pandemic; from interrupted routines to missing friends and more. Registration is free and open to the public. Register on JFS’s website at https://jfs-sa.org/specialevents/thecopeseries/

Educational events like these are available thanks to generous JFS donors. If you are interested in sponsoring this yearlong series, please contact Katy Walterscheidt at walterscheidtk@jfs-sa.org, or click here for more information.
