Starr Family Jewish Day School Set to Open Mid March

The Starr Family Jewish Day School, in memory and honor of Lisa, held a donor appreciation luncheon on December 4, 2022. The beautifully catered event was hosted by David and Arlene Starr as a tribute to those individuals and families who had given the initial donations to fund the construction of the new Jewish day school building. The guests were welcomed by Ian Fisher and the Starrs, who spoke about how meaningful it was to support Jewish education in San Antonio and how it would be a continuing tribute to their daughter. The nearly 10,000 sq. ft. building, which is located on Congregation Rodfei Sholom’s adjacent property, has been named in honor of their daughter Lisa Starr Rosenstein OBM. The Starr Family Jewish Day School is approaching completion and will officially begin classes for its nearly 60 students in mid-March. There will also be a public Open House and ribbon cutting later this spring.
