HMMSA offers Holocaust workshops for Educators – January 6 & 7
The Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio will present virtual Holocaust education workshops for teachers in January to prepare educators to teach the mandated curriculum for Texas Holocaust Remembrance Week (January 25-29, 2021). Elementary teachers will learn to teach themes around the Holocaust on January 6, and secondary teachers will learn about the many resources available on January 7.
Both workshops are from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Teachers will receive an education “care package” that includes the museum’s book about local Holocaust survivors, Our Voices, Our Lives. HMMSA will partner with the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission and other Texas Holocaust Museums for a special webinar on Sunday, January 10, 2021.
