Jewish War Veterans Post 753 celebrates Hanukkah at city hall

Jewish War Veterans Post 753 celebrated its 7th annual lighting of the menorah in front of the Shavano Park City Hall.  The tradition was begun by Post member A. David Marne, a resident of Shavano Park, during his 10 years as the city’s mayor.  Post members A. David Marne (SVC), Norton Shectman (National Cantor), and Herschel Sheiness (JVC) celebrated the lighting while following COVID-19 pandemic social distancing guidelines.
