PJ Library Updates

August 3, 2021

PJ Library San Antonio is more than just a free monthly book subscription program; it is a network of young families in the area that can connect and form lasting friendships. While
this past year allowed for some extra time at home with young ones, PJ Library is excited to continue building a strong community in person. PJ Library welcomed two new coordinators, Cindy Berman and Amy Sugarman, who had previously worked together while teaching parenting classes at the Barshop Jewish Community Center. In May, Amy and Cindy organized a Shavuot ice cream social, the first in-person event in over a year. The event was held at the new playground at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life and Learning. Following the success of this program, Amy and Cindy are hard at work planning more engaging programs, including Tot Shabbat services around town on Friday mornings. Both PJ Library and PJ Our Way send free, award-winning books that celebrate Jewish values and culture, to families with children from birth through 12 years old.
